Things to Know

  • There is not a guarantee that we will see any wildlife. These are wild animals and I will do my best to find them for you but it is never a guarantee they will be out and about for us to see.

  • Most of this is a driving tour. You must be able to sit in a vehicle for long periods of time. Bathrooms are located on far parts of the wildlife area or are porta-potties.

  • Snacks are important to bring. If we get a good day and are seeing lots of wildlife we may not be stopping for lunch which is about 15-20 min from the main part of Crex Meadows.

  • Some trails are not accessible in the winter months.

  • We start early and sometimes end late. If you booked a full day guide, prepare to be there just before sunrise and not leave until after sunset.

  • I am not a trained naturalist, but I have been to Crex Meadows for many years and know the spots wildlife are commonly seen.
